You can apply for both this loan and Japan Student Services Organization scholarships at the same time.
guarantee: if you use the Educational Fund Guarantee Fund, the guarantee fee is automatically taken out of the loan amount.
Japan Student Services Organization scholarships
Type 1 scholarships: no interest
Type 2 scholarships: no interest only while enrolled
guarantee fee: you can choose between
• providing a personal guarantor
• paying a guarantee fee to Japan Educational Exchanges and Services
- if used for study abroad funding, both forms of guarantee are required
the tution deferral system: is available for master's degree students and is interest-free
